I thought it would be a good time to let anyone on dA who doesn't have me on Facebook or Twitter (my handle on Twitter is icie) know that I have launched a new blog and portfolio site. It's at [link]
The portfolio section of the site is just a gallery of selected shots which I really liked, collected from past shoots with the full benefit of hindsight. The normal full-blown gallery at [link] still remains the primary place where I upload photos.
The big thing (for me anyway) is the blog, which I will hopefully update regularly with detailed thoughts about various things to do with cosplay photography and of course, the latest shoots I have been doing. Thus far it's going pretty good, some pretty long posts going up every few days, etc. Hopefully as we get more settled into the site, the posts will become shorter and more casual.
The previous blog at [link] lasted around six years so I must say my track record for persevering at a blog is pretty good. Let's hope this is also the case for the new blog.
The aim of the blog, besides providing an outlet for my own thoughts on various photography-related topics, is to also hopefully be a helpful resource for other photographers and cosplayers. Perhaps by gaining the perspective of a photographer, you may find ways to improve at shoots or at cosplay. Anyway, some of the stuff I blog about will be fairly esoteric or perhaps go too deep into technical details and philosophy, but I hope some people will find it useful/interesting.
